Starting with nothing more than ambition, drive and a business network established during her banking career, Kathy Pierce set out to create a successful, professional, commercial painting business.

Today, 15 years after the initial establishment of her business, Designer Walls, Inc. is a premier commercial painting, wallcovering, and finishing contractor supplying labor and materials for new construction and renovation projects. Located in Maple Heights, Designer Walls, Inc. has grown to employ more than 20 skilled craftspeople and has a client list including B.F. Goodrich, Marriott Hotels, Case Western Reserve University and John Carroll University.

Kathy's devotion to direct personal marketing and previous experience as a bank manager laid the groundwork for the success of Designer Walls, Inc. Direct Marketing and the formation of long-term business relationships that are unique approaches in the construction industry, where businesses are typically competing for jobs, not relationships.

Initially, profits were sacrificed to gain current, long-term account relationships. 

Kathy is a single mother of two Children: Matthew,  age 17, and Julia, age 14. She is an active volunteer for many organizations, Advisory Counsel for St. Elias Church, youth group advisor for St. Elias Church, Chairperson for Burning River boys rowing team, active rower with adult Cleveland Rowing Foundation, & past Chairperson for St. Columbkille School Accreditation Team.
